WHAT IS CIVIC ENGAGEMENT?
Political Involvement – Voting, campaigning or writing letters to your representatives.
Social Responsibility – Considering the welfare of others and the environment when making decisions.
Community Research – Exploring how your community is impacted by current social problems.
Association Involvement – Participating in organizations that focus on community improvement.
Direct Service – Giving personal time and energy to address immediate community needs.
Philanthropic Giving – Donating funds and needed items or organizing fundraising efforts.
Advocacy & Education - Using your voice to persuade decision makers to make choices that benefit the community.
